I guess it's been a while since I did one of these drawings. 
Rarity has to be one of the top self-comparisons from the rest of the Mane Six in their special talents, due to her creativity. They actually mention at least once in these fictions that she loves making things beautiful and making beautiful things, which is one of my hobbies, aside from my work on DeviantArt. 
But I think I'd also fall for that "diamond" trick just as much she did (maybe if it had something to do with sketching, I'd fall easier.) The only other alternatives would be if I had lost everything all at once (Twilight) or if I had to face an impossible choice and risk losing something I loved more than the other (Rainbow Dash).
